These replacement spindle rods measure 12cm (4.7 inches) in length, which may be significantly longer than the set that came standard with your gate. As a result, you may be able to achieve a more sturdy and reliable fit for your gate in more places. The rubbery padded end helps grip the walls without causing damage, and the matching adjustment wheel allows for an adjustable length and tight, secure fit.

This 4 pack of spindle rods from Baby Gate Guru is designed as a replacement kit for lost or damaged spindle rods (the threaded bolts that push against the wall to hold the gate in place), commonly used in pressure mounted baby and pet safety gates. Available in 2 standard sizes, M8 or M10, to fit your model of safety gate. M8 fits gates with a 8-9mm diameter opening, while M10 fits gates with a 10mm diameter opening.

The M8 (8mm) spindle rods are compatible with pressure mounted gates from brands like Regalo, Summer, West End, Carlson, Top Paw, and Evenflo. If you have a gate from brands like Cumbor, Toddleroo, North States, Safety 1st, Dreambaby, Munchkin, Bindaboo, BalanceFrom, Babelio, Qdos, InnoTruth, Tokkidas, MidWest Homes, Lindam, or Baby Dan, you'll want to use the M10 (10mm) size instead.

These spindle rods are designed to be used with pressure mounted gates only. Pressure mounted gates are installed by tightening the spindle rods against the surrounding wall or doorframe, creating tension that holds the gate securely in place. By contrast, hardware mounted gates are installed by screwing manufacturer-provided hardware into the walls, then connecting the gate.

Baby Gate Guru Spindle Rods are designed to fit perfectly with Baby Gate Guru Wall Protectors (sold separately). Wall Protectors can add an additional 1.25" (5/8" extra each side) in length to your installation, extending the maximum width of your gate even further to help it fit in wider openings. They are also designed to spread out the pressure against your wall over a larger padded surface area, protecting your walls even more from scuffs, paint scrapes, dents, and other damage.

When used in combination with Baby Gate Guru Banister Y-Spindle Rods (sold separately), the extra long Baby Gate Guru Spindle Rods can help you install your pressure gate at the bottom of stairs. Use 2-3 extra long spindle rods plus 1-2 extra long banister Y-spindle rods, depending on the design of your staircase, and your pressure gate can install securely against your stair banister. Note that pressure mounted safety gates should never be installed at the top of staircases.
