This extra length helps you achieve a sturdy, reliable installation, even in challenging spaces. The rubbery, textured end grips the surface without causing any damage.

Adjustable for a Perfect Fit The matching adjustment wheel lets you customize the length for a tight, secure fit on your banister, railing, balustrade, or other round support. These Y-shaped spindle rods are also ideal for angled wall corners and other unique mounting locations.

Available in Two Standard Sizes Our banister adapters come in two sizes to fit your gate: - M8 (8mm) for gates with 8-9mm diameter openings - M10 (10mm) for gates with 10mm diameter openings

Check Your Compatibility Our M10 banister adapters are compatible with pressure-mounted gates from brands like Cumbor, Toddleroo, North States, Safety 1st, Dreambaby, Munchkin, and more. If you have a gate from Regalo, Summer, West End, Carlson, Top Paw, or Evenflo, you'll need the M8 size instead.

Use with Baby Gate Guru Extra-Long Spindle Rods To install your gate at the bottom of stairs, use 1-2 of our banister adapters against the stair banisters, plus our extra-long spindle rods (sold separately) to cover the remaining flat surfaces. This ensures a strong, secure fit.

Note that pressure-mounted gates should not be used at the top of staircases - use only hardware-mounted gates in that location. And never exceed 2 banister adapters per installation.

Protect Your Surfaces The rubbery, padded end pieces on our banister adapters are designed to prevent damage to wooden banisters and other surfaces. Textured dots also help create a non-slip grip.
